Advances in Para Sport Science (APSS) is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the study, advancement, and dissemination of knowledge in all areas related to para sport and the science that supports it. This journal is supported by the Iranian Society of Motor Behavior and Sport Psychology, as well as the Federation of Sports for the Disabled. The journal serves as a platform for researchers, practitioners, coaches, clinicians, policy-makers, and athletes to share innovative research, evidence-based practices, and critical discussions aimed at enhancing the quality, accessibility, and impact of sport for athletes with disabilities.
Our mission is to promote scientific excellence and interdisciplinary dialogue in the para-sport domain. We recognize that para sport is more than competition—it is a transformative field that intersects with rehabilitation, medicine, biomechanics, psychology, sociology, engineering, education, and policy. By publishing high-quality original research, reviews, case studies, technical notes, and commentaries, Advances in Para Sport Science (APSS) aims to enhance the understanding of the physical, psychological, social, and technological aspects of sport participation among individuals with disabilities.
